About Me
Going back to school at an older age is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage, resilience, and a deep desire to grow beyond the limitations we often place on ourselves. For me, it was not just about earning a degree; it was about finally answering a calling that had been tugging at my heart for years. Navigating life's unexpected turns and walking through many personal seasons of both struggle and growth, I decided to return to college. In this journey, I discovered my passion: counseling adolescents struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. I earned my BA in Psychology in 2022, and I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (LPC) at The University of Texas at San Antonio. In June of 2025, I passed the NCE and now await graduation in December 2025 after completing my final Internship. My journey may have started later than some, but it has been rich with meaning. I bring life experiences, empathy, and a deep commitment to walking alongside those who are often overlooked or dismissed.
