About Me
Going back to school at an older age is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage, resilience, and a deep desire to grow beyond the limitations we often place on ourselves. For me, it was not just about earning a degree; it was about finally answering a calling that had been tugging at my heart for years. Navigating life's unexpected turns and walking through many personal seasons of both struggle and growth, I decided to return to college. In this journey, I discovered my passion: counseling adolescents struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. I am currently earning my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of Texas at San Antonio. My journey may have started later than some, but it has been rich with meaning. I bring life experiences, empathy, and a deep commitment to walking alongside those who are often overlooked or dismissed.
